Enhancing Integration of Information Literacy in TVET Curriculum in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic Effects

Purpose: Information literacy refers to the set of characteristics that enables ordinary learners become wise information consumers and lifelong learners. The abilities or skills learner requires in order determine needs, locate, access evaluate sources effectively use resources regardless format. There is global acceptance need for among trainees undertaking Technical Vocational Educational Training (TVET). Integrating Competency-Based Education (CBET) curriculum has a necessity. purpose this study was investigate how TVET applied during COVID-19 pandemic. objective ascertain trainees` uptake e-learning establish strategies laid down integration curriculum.
 Methodology: Descriptive research design adopted. Nyeri National Polytechnic purposively sampled due availability respondents familiarity researcher object research. A target population 1000 library users at diploma, certificate artisan levels used. Data collected using researcher-administered questionnaire. organized analysed frequency distribution, percentages mean.
 Findings: Institutions were found have moderately adopted curriculum. results indicate 54% virtual learning sessions However, inadequate contributed non-effective e-resources.
 Unique Contribution Theory, Practice Policy: To end, institutions put place enhancing strategy on orientation continuous user education by librarians aims improving ‘information literacy. Trainees stand benefit through should mechanism adopt integration.
